Strategy Challenge Team
Marie is a Junior in the McDonough School of Business, majoring in Marketing and Management with minors in Theology and Entrepreneurship. Marie is also Social Media and Marketing Lead for ESCAPE, a first-year retreat, and president of her a cappella group, the Capitol G's. When outside of her business world, Marie is most definitely singing or playing piano. For her second year as Co-Managing Director of MBSC, Marie is looking forward to welcoming this year's teams, judges, and sponsors to another challenging and engaging competition.
Salome Mikadze is a sophomore in the McDonough School of Business majoring in OPIM and Finance. She is from Ukraine and Georgia (both located in Eastern Europe). Salome has interned with multiple nonprofits and won start-up competitions with her medical and business projects. She is passionate about music, marketing, psychology and chocolate. According to her, every self-respecting tourist should visit The Chocolate House and Baked & Wired in DC. As a marketing associate, Salome looks forward to creating a memorable and intellectually challenging competition for MBSC participants.
Jackson Frank is a freshman in the McDonough School of Business majoring in Operations/Information Management. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Jackson spent most of his childhood outside of New Haven, CT. He is passionate about music, running, food, and sustainability. As a case writing associate, Jackson is excited to help craft an engaging and challenging case competition, and in the process expand his understandings of management consulting and social entrepreneurship.
Thomas is a junior in the business school studying finance and statistics. He hails from the great state of Vermont and enjoys running and playing rugby. Last year he interned at Playworks in DC, a non-profit focused on teaching elementary school children valuable life skills though physical activity. This will be Thomas’s third year with MBSC and he is very excited to meet this year’s teams
Lisbeth Medina is a junior in the McDonough School of Business majoring in Accounting and Management. She is from Silver Spring, Maryland. She is passionate about entrepreneurship and social impact. On her free time, she enjoys reading, going to coffee shops, and exploring DC. As a case-writing associate, she is looking forward to working with a nonprofit and writing a case that will increase their social impact around the globe.
Ankit Reddy is a junior in the McDonough School of Business, double majoring in Finance and Marketing while pursuing a minor in Economics. As Ankit hails from Texas, he is excited to continue familiarizing himself with Washington, D.C. during his third year at Georgetown. In his free time, Ankit enjoys exploring the capital’s food scene with friends, watching movies, and attending sporting events. Meanwhile, in addition to MBSC, Ankit’s other organizational responsibilities include serving as a financial literacy mentor in Moneythink and as an investment analyst for Georgetown Collegiate Investors. However, Ankit is particularly excited to be a case writing associate for MBSC, so that he can further his professional and intellectual development within the field of management consulting while helping to write a thought-provoking case that maximizes social capital.
Vanesa Carrillo is a Freshman at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, she is double majoring in Marketing and Accounting with a minor in Spanish. Vanesa is originally from El Paso, Texas and is very excited to become involved in several activities and opportunities Georgetown has to offer. Vanesa was recently named a Coca Cola and Dell Scholar and hopes to use this platform to inspire young Latina first-generation students to embrace their entrepreneurial spirit and pursue higher education. Aside from school Vanesa loves to sing and spends her time visiting museums and local pizzerias around DC.
Gabrielle Irwin is currently a junior in the McDonough School of Business, and she is planning on pursuing a double major in International Business and Management with a minor in French. She is from Palo Alto, California and loves problem solving, dancing, cooking, reading, and exploring new spots in DC. A fun fact about her is that she worked with James Franco on writing a script and filming a movie. Gabrielle is excited as a marketing associate to help this year's nonprofit client to improve so that it can better serve DC, as well as raise awareness of the competition with the marketing team.
Analise is a sophomore in the McDonough School of Business double majoring in OPIM and Accounting and double minoring in Performing Arts and Entrepreneurship. She is from southern California and enjoys spending time with friends and family in her free time. Analise looks forward to helping find the amazing and brilliant judges for this year’s competition. Beyond MBSC, Analise is involved in several other organizations including as a project manager with a pro bono consulting organization called Innovo Consulting and an intern at a startup called Wild Terrains. She highly recommends that all of the teams attending the case competition, take one evening and go to Jeni’s Ice Cream in Logan Circle, as well as see the monuments after dark.
Derron Payne is a business student in the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. There he majors in Management and Marketing while minoring in Entrepreneurship. He has a huge passion for basketball but even more than that he has a bigger passion for entrepreneurship and mentorship.
Esther Li is a sophomore in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service studying Global Business and Psychology. She is from Potomac Maryland and is a first-generation Chinese-American. Esther can spend hours talking about traveling, psychology, music, and international relations. As the VP of Events, Esther looks forward to making MBSC an engaging and immersive experience for all attendees.
Kenneth Tan is a freshman in the McDonough School of Business majoring in Finance and Operations/Information Management. He is from San Jose, California and is excited to find all the wonderful nooks and crannies all over DC. In his free time, he can be found playing badminton, puzzling over a computer science problem, or coming up with the finest puns. As a judging associate, Kenneth can't wait to help assemble the wonderful judges for this year's competition.
